What reviewers and owners say
Reviewers
From 5 reviews we read or watched, 1 of them with a watch supplied by the brand.
Reviewers liked the textured dial, the bright blue lume on the dial, hands and bezel, and the tight bezel with almost no play, and three found the cyclops magnification close to the 2.5 times of the original. All five said the bracelet or its clasp is basic: push pins, a stamped clasp with three micro-adjust holes and flexing links, though it sizes easily.
The common complaint was the solid end links. They stick out past the lugs, so the length on the wrist is about 53 mm against the quoted 48 mm lug to lug, though the reviewers who wore it on small wrists found the overhang acceptable. The quartz movement and mineral crystal were named as the compromises at this price; one reviewer said he wanted sapphire on a dive watch.
Good
- Textured dial in three colours, praised by all three reviewers
- Bright, even blue lume on dial, hands and bezel
- Tight bezel with little play, per reviewers
- Cyclops magnification close to 2.5 times, per three reviewers
- 200 m water resistance and a screw-down crown
Less good
- Solid end links stretch the real length to about 53 mm
- Basic bracelet: push pins, stamped clasp with three micro-adjust holes
- Quartz movement and mineral crystal
- Hands, dial and bracelet differ from the Submariner
Known quality issues
Each reported by at least two independent sources.
- Three reviewers found that the solid end links protrude past the lugs: two measured 53.8 mm and 53.3 mm end to end against the quoted 48 mm lug to lug, and the third said they stick out noticeably.
