About the original
Breguet's Type 20 was made for the French air force and navy air arm in the 1950s: a flyback chronograph, first delivered to the air force between 1955 and 1959. Breguet also sold civilian versions as the Type XX. The 2023 Type 20 Chronographe 2057 is based on the Arabic-numeral air force watches of that period.
The steel 2057 has a 42 mm case with a fluted bidirectional bezel, a pear-shaped crown, green luminous numerals and a two-register dial with a date between 4 and 5 o'clock. It uses the 5 Hz automatic flyback calibre 7281 with a 60-hour power reserve. A sister reference, the 2067 Type XX, has three registers and a 12-hour bezel.
