About the original
Girard-Perregaux introduced the Deep Diver in 1969. It paired a bold case with the Gyromatic automatic system, a 14-facet bezel and a red dial. The maker says the case design foreshadowed the geometry later seen in the Laureato.
The current Deep Diver is a Legacy Edition made with Bamford Watch Department, limited to 350 pieces. It is a 40.3 x 38 mm Grade 5 titanium cushion case with crowns at 2 and 4 o'clock, one of which turns an internal minute ring. It is water resistant to 200 m and comes on a blue rubber strap with a second orange strap.
