What reviewers and owners say
Reviewers
From 7 reviews we read or watched, 1 of them with a watch supplied by the brand.
Reviewers agree the case is well finished for the price, with a flat, low profile and a 40 mm diameter that wears smaller than the earlier 42 mm version. Most describe the NH34 movement as reliable. In their own tests, one unit ran about 6 seconds a day off and another about 7 seconds a day fast. The signed fold-over clasp with three micro-adjust levels is an improvement on the earlier version.
The main criticisms concern the dial and hands. Several reviewers find the indices greyer than the hands, and the hands glow brighter than the indices. Two find the hour and minute hands short. Reviewers also note the mineral exhibition caseback, and that the clasp edges are less smooth than the rest of the watch.
Good
- Seiko NH34 automatic GMT movement
- 40 mm case that wears smaller than the earlier 42 mm version
- Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment
- Reworked fold-over clasp with three micro-adjust levels, which reviewers found an improvement
Less good
- Hour and minute hands are short, and reviewers want a longer minute hand
- Indices look greyer than the hands, and the hands glow brighter than the indices
- Exhibition caseback is mineral crystal, not sapphire
Known quality issues
Each reported by at least two independent sources.
- Reviewers report the indices look greyer than the hands, and that the hands glow brighter than the indices.
- Reviewers report the fold-over clasp gives little or no click when closed, and that its edges are less smooth than the rest of the watch.
Earlier versions
- V2: 42 mm case with a Pearl DG movement, longer hour and minute hands, a printed dial logo and a weaker cyclops, per reviewer comparisons.
