Why it scores 74
Proportions and movement are computed from specs. Design details and functions are judged from the brand's official images. How we score
Proportions27 / 30
- Case diameter12 / 12Same size
- Lug-to-lug7.4 / 80.2 mm apart
- Thickness3.6 / 61.2 mm apart
- Lug width4 / 4Same size
Design signatures29 / 40
- Sculpted spade hands with black polish5 / 10Polished spade-shaped hour hand and a slim tapering minute hand (listed as Dauphine, mirror polished). They are black only on the white enamel dial; on the white guilloche, black, gold and purple dials they are blue, silver or gold-toned, so the black polish is not present on every version.
- Breguet-style numerals10 / 10The brand lists applied Breguet numerals, and the images show Breguet-style Arabic numerals on every dial.
- Large recessed seconds sub-dial4 / 8A large small-seconds sub-dial at 6; on the white enamel dial it is a printed ring, while the black, gold and purple dials show a patterned sub-dial that looks recessed.
- Prominent outer minute track4 / 4Printed outer minute track with bold hour ticks around the edge of the dial.
- Domed box-type sapphire crystal2 / 4The brand lists a sapphire crystal with AR coating but does not describe its shape; the images show a domed crystal with a visible curved edge.
- Slim round case with wide 22 mm lugs4 / 436.8 mm case with 22 mm lugs drilled for the strap, the same diameter and lug width as the original; 9.7 mm thick against the original's 8.5 mm.

What reviewers and owners say
Reviewers
From 3 reviews we read or watched.
Reviewers praised the finishing. The polished case, the bright applied numerals and the polished hands were called very well done, the domed sapphire crystal very clear, and the dial layout symmetrical. They liked the slim 9.7 mm profile, found the leather strap supple and well made, and said the case back, an oil-pressed scene, is detailed. The design is described as following the Kikuchi Nakagawa Murakumo.
The quartz movement divided them. One reviewer saw no problem with a quartz in a dress watch and another thought the price too high for it; the small seconds hand makes the tick less noticeable. Two reviewers noted that the fully polished case will show fingerprints and scratches. One found the drilled lugs less dressy and the 22 mm lug width wide for the case, while another liked the wide lugs; one said the dial can look flat when seen straight on.

Less good
- Quartz movement, which one reviewer thought too basic for the price
