What reviewers and owners say
Reviewers
From 2 reviews we read or watched.
Both reviewers liked the compact, slim case: it sits flat on the wrist with a short lug to lug, and the unusual square-cut lugs look fine when worn. Both found the anti-reflective coating on the flat sapphire very good, and one confirmed with a tester that the front and the case back are both sapphire. Both noted that the fully polished case shows fingerprints and will pick up scratches, and that the strap buckle is unsigned while the crown is signed.
Both found the Seagull ST1701 well decorated through the case back and said it does not hack: the seconds hand keeps running while the time is set. Both said the lume is limited: the hands glow well enough and last a while, but the dial has only a few small dots that fade quickly and the seconds hand has none. Both said the quick-release leather strap suits the watch; one found it good quality, the other found the outside stiff at first with a soft lining. One noted that the polished hands can flash and vanish in bright light at some angles.
