About the original
NOMOS describes the Tangente as the first NOMOS watch and a continuous bestseller for more than 30 years. Its design follows the principle of form follows function, and it has won numerous design prizes.
The Tangente 38 is the hand-wound version with a 37.5 mm stainless steel case, a white silver-plated dial, blue tempered hands, five numerals and a sub-seconds dial. NOMOS says it is just under three millimetres larger than the classic 35 mm Tangente while keeping a small height. Reference 164 has a sapphire back showing the DUW 4001 movement; reference 165 has a steel back.
