Why it scores as it does
Proportions and movement are computed from specs. Design details and functions are judged from the brand's official images. How we score
Lug-to-lug is neither published nor measured for one of the two watches, so there is not enough data to score.

What reviewers and owners say
Reviewers
From 5 reviews we read or watched.
Reviewers liked the finishing, the fixed brushed 24-hour bezel, the domed sapphire crystal, the bright BGW-9 lume and the milled clasp with four micro-adjust holes. They found the 39 mm case comfortable and thinner than the original, with a 20 mm lug width and a taper to 16 mm. The NH34 was described as a reliable, easy-to-service movement.
They measured the watch at 12.8 to 13 mm thick and 48.4 to 48.6 mm lug to lug, a little more than the brand's 12.4 and 48.5 mm. The 40 mm bezel makes the watch look slightly larger than 39 mm. Two reviewers struggled to resize the pin-and-collar bracelet on earlier batches, and a later review says the current version uses screw links. One unit had dirt on the seconds hand. Reviewers describe the design as following the Tudor Black Bay Pro, with a thinner case, a Japanese movement in place of the original's in-house one and a bracelet without rivets.

Less good

- Earlier batches had a pin-and-collar bracelet that two reviewers found hard to resize
