What reviewers and owners say
Reviewers
From 5 reviews we read or watched.
Reviewers found the S446 good value for its price and described the case, polished finish and faceted hands as close to the Grand Seiko it follows. They liked the dial textures, the screw-down crown and the NH34 movement, which one reviewer said hacks and ran about 5 seconds fast a day on his unit. Reviewers describe the 13 mm thickness with the glass and the 47 mm lug-to-lug as wearable.
The complaints were consistent about the bracelet and clasp. Three reviewers found the clasp limited in micro adjustment, and one said the male end links protrude and sit flat on the wrist. The case back is an exhibition back over a plain NH34. Reviewers said the dial texture and pattern do not match the original's depth, and one noticed some printing on the 24-hour track slightly off from the applied indices.
Good
- Case, hands and indices follow the Grand Seiko closely
- Domed sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown
- Seiko NH34A GMT with quick-set date per reviewers
- 100 m water resistance and drilled lugs per reviewers
- Several dial colours and textures
Less good
- Bracelet clasp has few micro adjustments
- Male end links protrude and sit flat on some wrists
- Dial texture lacks the original's depth per reviewers
- 13 mm thick including the glass
Known quality issues
Each reported by at least two independent sources.
- The bracelet clasp offers too few micro adjustment holes, so some wrists cannot get a good fit; reviewers noted one to two positions and no half links.
