Reviewers describe the WD1960S as a well-finished compact watch for the price. They praise the brushed case with polished chamfers, the crisp dial printing and applied numerals, the lume, the thin 10.6 to 12 mm case and the sweeping VH31 seconds hand. Several note that it wears well on smaller wrists.
The main criticisms are the small crown, which is hard to grip, and the mineral crystal on the cheaper versions. One reviewer found some play in the bracelet and clasp, and the bracelet and clasp feel light next to the original. Two reviewers on earlier builds measured or stated 19 mm between the lugs, where the current listing says 20 mm. They had the watch sent by the brand or bought it, and none of them reports a fault in operation.
