About the original
The Ranger name was registered by Hans Wilsdorf in 1929, but the look people now know, with large Arabic numerals and distinctive hands, dates from the 1960s. Tudor released the 39 mm Ranger in 2022 to mark the 70th anniversary of the British North Greenland Expedition, whose members wore Tudor Oyster Prince watches. It follows the 41 mm Ranger of 2014 and uses the MT5402 movement.
The watch is a time-only tool watch with a matte black dial, large painted numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12, arrow-shaped hands and a fixed steel bezel. The case and bracelet are satin-brushed, the water resistance is 100 m, and the steel bracelet has a rapid-adjustment clasp.
