About the original
Mondaine's watches are based on the Swiss railway station clock designed by Hans Hilfiker, an engineer at the Swiss Federal Railways, in 1944. Mondaine began making watches from the clock's design in 1986 with the railways' approval.
The Evo2 is the line with the rounded 'evo2' steel case. The 40 mm Evo2 Automatic has a Sellita SW 220-1 movement, a sapphire crystal, a see-through case back and a dial with a date. The Evo2 Big Date is a quartz version with a larger date display.
