What reviewers and owners say
Reviewers
From 2 reviews we read or watched.
Both reviewers were happy with the watch. They liked the light titanium case (about 52 g for the head, 98 g on the titanium bracelet), the neat brushed finishing and a bezel that feels like steel rather than gritty titanium, with a 120-click action and very little play. Both reported the PT5000 running well, about +1 second a day over a week for one, and a steady reading on the timing machine for the other. One said the case back points that were sharp on version one have been rounded off.
Their complaints were minor and about options: the nylon strap is thick and stiff, the titanium clasp has five micro-adjust holes but cannot take an on-the-fly clasp, the bubble crystal distorts the edge of the dial, and the vintage dial's lume is weaker than the BGW9 versions. One reviewer's order also arrived without the strap the seller had promised. Neither was brand-supplied as far as the videos say.
Good
- Raised top-hat sapphire crystal with an AR coating
- Grade 2 titanium case, about 54 g without a strap
- Working helium escape valve and 200 m water resistance
- High-beat automatic at 28,800 vph
- Signed titanium clasp on the three-link bracelet
- Case finishing, bezel action and light weight praised by both reviewers
Less good
- No five-link bracelet; choices are nylon, mesh or three-link titanium
- Vintage versions use an aluminum bezel insert, not ceramic
- Movement depends on the variant chosen
- Titanium clasp has five micro-adjust holes but no on-the-fly adjustment (one reviewer)
- Bubble crystal blurs the printed minute track at the edge, and the vintage C3 lume is weaker than BGW9 (one reviewer)
